What happened
As of October 13, 2026, the Play ransomware group has publicly listed both Saddlers Court MFG and Advanced Imaging Solutions on their dark-web leak site. These disclosures follow a pattern of aggressive targeting by the group, which continues to exfiltrate and threaten the publication of sensitive corporate and customer data to force ransom payments.
Why this matters
These incidents demonstrate that manufacturing and specialized service providers remain high-value targets for ransomware actors. When these organizations suffer a breach, the exposure often includes proprietary operational data and sensitive client information, leading to significant operational downtime, regulatory scrutiny, and long-term reputational damage. The reliance on centralized storage systems makes these entities particularly vulnerable to total data compromise once an attacker gains initial access.
How zero-knowledge changes this
SecureIDsafe’s zero-knowledge architecture would have fundamentally neutralized the impact of these breaches. Because we utilize AES-256 client-side encryption, all data is encrypted before it ever leaves the user's device. Even if an attacker successfully breached the storage servers of a company using our platform, they would only encounter indecipherable ciphertext. Since the provider never holds the device-derived keys, the attackers would have no way to decrypt the stolen files. Furthermore, our non-bypassable 24-word BIP-39 seed recovery ensures that even in the event of a total system compromise, the integrity of the user's data remains protected by the user alone, rendering the exfiltrated data useless to the ransomware actors.
